Mr. Robinson's 32-year pharmaceutical management career has included a wide range of U.S. and international business development, marketing and regulatory positions.

During his tenure with Marion Merrill Dow (now part of Aventis) and Eli Lilly, Mr. Robinson was responsible for starting and managing new business groups, subsidiaries, and joint ventures. In addition, he managed new product development and marketing in eight different therapeutic classes including diabetes, antiinfectives, CNS products, oncology and lipid disorders. He joined the Institute for Diabetes Discovery in 1996 as Director of Commercial and Regulatory Affairs, and was named vice president in 1998.

Mr. Robinson is a registered pharmacist and holds a graduate business degree from Stanford University.
